This was the second time I visit Runde Island. It is surrounded by ocean and weather condition can be bad. We managed to rent a boat this time. The White tailed eagle was sighted almost at all times when we where at the cliffs where all the birds nests. It was a family of eagles.
Nikon Z8 as camera and Nikkor Z400mm f 4.5 as lense for this visit.

Northern Gannets har nesting in the southern cliffs of the highest peek at Runde. A lot of the nest material now consist of plastic found in the sea. In some cases, this traps the bird and can result in death. These are fantastic birds, with a weight of arround 3 kg and with a wingspan between 165 and 180 cm. They are known for their hunting method, where they dive stright into the sea after spotting fish from the air.
